Mission Statement

The mission of the family tribe shall be to reclaim our identity and to ensure the preservation of existing tradition, culture, craft, and music in keeping with the North American Ohio Catawba Indian heritage.

Our goal is to educate non-native people about the true Ohio Catawba traditions of the past and present, to revive and retain as much as possible of the aspects of the culture, and to eliminate the Hollywood image of the North American Indian.

To build a Cultural Center for school children, teens, and adults for surrounding counting for cultural lectures, crafts, storytelling, teen center, tribal meetings, daycare, latchkey program, preschool, youth organizations, and a large indoor Amphitheater for meetings and indoor Pow Wows. This building will develop pride in our Indian Heritage and aid the community.

To build a new Fire Department, a new Urgent Care Unit, and a Senior Citizen Unit with cafeteria and housing area.

We honor the legacy of the Ohio Catawba Indian Nation of Carr's Run, preserving culture and community through every gathering.
